Library program curiosity

Picture of staff member Stephanie Morrisette from shoulders upAre you a library patron? Do you use the library for more than just borrowing books (which is a good enough reason in itself!)? Whether you do research in our nonfiction collection or peruse our fiction books, use our computers to check email and print documents, browse our youth resources, research our local history, or work independently at a study cubicle, Crawfordsville District Public Library provides many service options.

What about the program selection the library has offered in the past? We have enjoyed bringing new programs to our patrons, especially in light of programming going virtual in this last year. We sure miss the days of in-person programs and expect to return to live presentations eventually. In the interim, we are looking for ideas on how we might better serve our community and would like to hear from you.

For our seasoned patrons, we would very much like to conduct programs that may be of interest to you, and we would like to know what types of programming you would like to see CDPL offer. Craft activities, genealogy information, basic computer skills, book clubs, or something else? How can we best serve you from home or, in the future, here at the library?

For the families who use the library, what type of programs would be of interest to you and your children? Are there activities you enjoy doing together? Do STEAM programs entice you with the creative aspects of the sciences, arts, and humanities? What about take home projects, educational DVDs, CDs or other activities?

For those of you who do not regularly visit the library for its programs, what type of activities would you like to see CDPL offer? If you believe you have creative ideas on how we can improve our community offerings, we encourage you to email us your suggestions. In order for us to continue providing the best services possible, we need to hear from you.

Send us your thoughts, and with the collected information we will brainstorm additional programs we can bring to you, given there is enough interest. It is our goal to support our patrons and our community in a manner that is most beneficial to all.

Continue to watch our website and Facebook for current and upcoming programs at the Crawfordsville District Public Library. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
