Take a peek at the Carnegie Museum of Montgomery County! The museum is open for tours Wednesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, March-December. Group tours are available by appointment. Schedule a tour: 765-362-4618.


WOW Gallery

The Montgomery County WOW Gallery serves as a “Hall of Fame” for people, places and things from Montgomery County.


Early history of Montgomery County

In the Early History gallery you will find an ox yoke on loan from the Montgomery County Cultural Foundation. The Land Office cast iron trunk is on loan from the Montgomery County Historical Society.


Athens gallery

See some work from Dave Gerard, cartoonist and former Mayor of Crawfordsville. Gerard graduated from Crawfordsville High School and Wabash College. Creator of the Will-Yum and Citizen Smith series, he was a nationally syndicated cartoonist.


Early history of Montgomery County

Examine the Montgomery County mural in our lobby that shows snippets of local scenes. Paintings are by local artist, C. Kent Rushing.


Athens gallery

In the Athens gallery, view military items such as uniforms, medals, and equipment; read about locals who served in the armed forces from the past to the present.


Senior Cords

All sorts of items from Montgomery County’s past can be seen in the Business and Industry gallery. Have you ever examined a horse-drawn carriage up close? Do you know what an old barber chair looked like? Would you actually want to touch a real switchboard?
